Blizzard Entertainment introduces the WoW Token

There are two kinds of adventurers in Azeroth: the ones that are extremely rich and the ones that need to dig deep into their pockets to find gold for repair bills. For either of the adventurers, the WoW token is a great new feature that will make its debut in an upcoming patch.

The WoW Token is a new in-game items that will allow players to safely exchange gold and game time between each other. How does it work? It’s fairly simple really. You can buy the token through the in-game shop for real money and resell it on the AH for gold at the current market price. However, if you have too much gold laying around, you can also do it the other way around. You can buy a WoW Token from the AH for gold. Once bought, the token will be soulbound and you can redeem it for 30 days of game time. The up-side here is that there is no bidding involved when it comes down to buying the tokens.

You can read more about the WoW Tokens on the official blog. The FAQ covers the basics as well as the details, so be sure to check it out!
