Build your own guild in the world of Fairy Tail
Fairy Tail might not be the longest-running manga to ever be conceived, even with over 60 issues, but it still is widely regarded as one of the better Japanese comics out there, not to mention the equally popular anime has become a standard for many shounen shows that came after it. Of course, there have been a few games based on this world as well, but nothing quite as ambitious as the one in production right now simply called Fairy Tale. The JRPG, a combined effort of Koei Tecmo and GUST Studio, will allow players to really immerse themselves into the world of the manga and try their hand at setting up a guild, collecting various well-known characters to serve as your allies. The story of the game is said to follow the “Grand Magic Games” storyline from the manga itself, meaning that people familiar with the franchise will have a pretty good idea of what they’re getting into. But even for those who are completely new to the world of Fairy Tale, the game promises to be a perfect first introduction.
Fairy Tale will be released in 2020 for Switch, PS4 and for PC gamers on Steam.
