Celebrate the FIFA 2026 World Cup with LEGO in Brussels next month!

With the 2026 FIFA World Cup kicking off next month, The LEGO Group is launching a football-themed experience in the heart of Brussels to celebrate the tournament! From the 11th to the 15th of June, TLG will host a temporary LEGO Fan Village on Muntplein, combining football culture with creativity and interactive play. From 10am to 6pm daily, the Fan Village will host six themed activity zones designed to immerse visitors in the worlds of FIFA and LEGO. Guests will be able to explore displays of the official LEGO Editions sets, pose with a LEGO-built World Cup trophy in a dedicated photo area, and take part in football freestyle demonstrations led by athletes Martijn Debbaut and Mahmed Diallo. Children will also have the opportunity to test their own football skills through workshops and challenges organised throughout the event. Building activities form a central part of the experience, with visitors contributing to five large LEGO mosaics that together create a single artwork measuring 230 by 150 centimetres. Separate building stations will also allow children to design and take home their own LEGO football shoe creations.

The LEGO Group is also using the initiative to encourage Belgian children to express their passion for football through a nationwide school competition aimed at participants aged between six and twelve. Students are invited to recreate their football dreams using LEGO bricks, whether inspired by stadiums, iconic goals, trophies or favourite players. Selected creations will be displayed on a dedicated Wall of Fame within the Fan Village. The first 100 schools to register for the competition will receive LEGO building kits, instructional materials and classroom posters to support participation. Former Belgium international and national appearance record holder Jan Vertonghen is supporting the campaign as its ambassador, reflecting the initiative’s broader focus on creativity, movement and play among young audiences. According to the LEGO Group, the project is intended to highlight football as a source of imagination, self-expression and connection beyond the pitch, while encouraging children to continue building and pursuing their ambitions through creative activities.
