Console players can now give the Hell is Us demo a try!

The time-limited demo for the upcoming action-adventure title Hell is Us has returned to PC, and is now also available for the first time on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Available until 28 August, the demo offers players a chance to explore the game’s full opening chapter, providing roughly ninety minutes of gameplay, with additional content for those who delve into its hidden details. This latest version of the demo, previously released only for PC, has been updated with several enhancements, including improved performance, smoother enemy targeting and counterattacks, the addition of French voiceovers, Chinese and Japanese subtitles, and a new photo mode.
Developed by Rogue Factor and published by NACON, Hell is Us blends melee combat, exploration, and narrative in a third-person format. The game adopts a “player-plattering” design philosophy, encouraging players to rely on observation and intuition rather than on-screen markers or guidance. Set in a country torn apart by civil war, the story follows protagonist Rémi as he searches for his origins in a land shrouded in mystery. Beneath the nation’s near-total isolation lies a troubling phenomenon: the sudden emergence of supernatural creatures resembling ancient monuments scattered across the landscape. Armed with specially crafted weapons designed to face these beings, players must use their tools strategically to survive. With its emphasis on freedom, exploration, and environmental storytelling, Hell is Us aims to deliver an experience that challenges players to think and act independently when it launches. Hell is Us is scheduled for release on 4 September 2025 across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
