Cooler Master announces arival of Quick Fire Rapid-i
Finaly the Quick Fire Rapid-i is here, a new mechanical keyboard in the Quick Fire line-up. It’s fully featured with things like full keyboard illumination and special lightning effects (something Cooler Master calls ActivLite). It also has a TKL form factor.
TKL means the keyboard is tenkeyless so it doesn’t have a numberpad. While that might sound strange for people looking for a fully featured keyboard, it does have its reasons. For example when gaming you don’t actually need that numberpad and the shorter overall lenght allows for a more ergonomic stance when using both mouse and keyboard. It also allows for easy travel, even the USB cable is removable for storage.
Another great feature has to be the onboard 32-bit procesor. Together with onboard memory it allows for multiple lightning modes (with more to be added over time), 5 brightness levels, programmable keys and up to four profiles to be stored on the keyboard itself. Ofcourse the keyboard also has Cherry MX mechanical switches.
Be sure to check out the video below for an example of the lightning modes.
