Degrees of Separation gets free online multiplayer update

Modus Games launched a free update to players of their cooperative puzzle platformer Degrees of Separation, allowing players to solve puzzles with their friends wherever they are. Although local co-op was already a feature, players will now be able to take their existing save files online to play with friends. Progress earned through cooperative play will be kept by each user. The update is available now for all players, regardless of the platform. The game itself is available on Xbox One, PS4, Switch, and PC.

Using contrasting aspects of heat and cold, Degrees of Separation requires players to harness their respective climates – embodied by characters Ember and Rime – in order to maneuver through the game and explore the world as a team. Together, the two use their unique powers of temperature to progress through a spectacular land of fantasy and adventure. Degrees of Separation is playable solo or in co-op multiplayer, allowing two players to work in tandem to traverse environmental obstacles. No matter how you choose to play, Ember and Rime must rely on one another while exploring a non-linear world that at times underscores just how very different they are.
