Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince is out now for Switch
Today is a big day for Dragon Quest fans, thanks to the release of Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince. This monster training spin-off returns after many years with its biggest entry yet. Take on the role of Psaro, a monster tamer who can bring monsters under his control to fight for him. Travel through the world of Nadiria, encountering rivers of lava and towering castles made of cake. Recruit over 500 unique monsters and combine them in the new synthesis system. Here you can combine different monsters to unlock even stronger ones with brand new abilities. Take control of these monsters and guide your party of three to victory with tactical commands. Play online thanks to a bunch of different online features. Take on other players’ parties in the arena or join Quickfire Contests, where 30 players’ data will be collected to duke it out in automated battles.
The game was released on Switch with both a physical and digital version. Upgrade to the Digital Deluxe Edition to enjoy a bunch of extras. This includes a collection of extra items and costumes, along with some extra content like optional dungeons and collectibles. Not sure yet if the game is up your alley?
