Dreamworks’ Trollhunters are heading to consoles
Bandai Namco Europe, Outright Games, Universal Games and Digital Platforms revealed today that they are developing a brand new video game based on the successful Trollhunters series. Dreamworks’ Trollhunters: Defenders of Arcadia is set to come to PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC on the 25th of September. The game features the original series voice cast, including Emile Hirsch, Charlie Saxton and David Bradley.
At the moment, actual gameplay details are limited, though we know that Defenders of Arcadia will feature an original story that will allow players to visit the worlds they know from the series. The trailer appears to show some light platforming, but we’ll have to wait and see just how well the Trollhunters world will translate into a modern video game. Dreamworks’ Trollhunters was developed by Dreamworks Animation and Academy Award-winning director Guillermo Del Toro. The Emmy-award winning series is available exclusively on Netflix.
