The Touhou fandom continues to be absolutely fascinating and insane. This franchise has spawned a myriad of spin-off games but with The Touhou Empires, developer Neetpia and publisher Phoenixx might be the first to make a real-time strategy take on this community-driven franchise. It honestly sounds weird, but the trailer below shows that it doesn’t look half bad. If you’re still not convinced, you can also check out the demo which is available during the week of August 28th to September 4th. The game will host a 20-level story mode and online multiplayer – and features over thirty beloved Touhou heroines. It’s readying for a release on Steam in Q1 2024.
