Formation of a new studio announced by Larian Studios
Today, Larian Studios has announced the formation of a new studio, formed by the former engineering team of BlitWorks, called Larian Barcelona. This is the result of an asset deal between Larian Studios and BlitWorks.
BlitWorks was behind games like Super Meat Boy, Spelunky, Sonic CD and not to forget, the Nintendo Switch port of Divinity: Original Sin 2. With this deal, Larian has acquired the entire developers team of BlitWorks, while they still continue to work independently as a publisher. Larian Barcelona is now the seventh studio under Larian Studios, joining the teams in Gent, Dublin, Quebec, Saint Petersburg and the newly announced offices in Guildford and Kuala Lumpur.
