Free* Kerbal Space Program: Shared Horizons Update Now Available on Consoles
Today it has been announced that the free* Kerbal Space Program: Shared Horizons update is now available for players on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Private Division and Squad, the developers and publishers of the game, worked in close collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA) to produce the update, which was released for PC earlier this year.
The update brings two cornerstone missions led by Europe’s chief space organization, the landmark Ariane 5 rocket (a staple model used by the ESA for nearly 25 years), an ESA-themed space suit for Kerbals, new parts, and science experiments for console players to conduct. The main focus of these additions is the celebration of the achievements of the ESA and collaborations with the space agencies of the world, with Rosetta mission commemorating a landing on a Jupiter-family comet and the Bepi-Colombo mission recreates ESA’s ongoing joint mission to Mercury with the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency.
The free* update to Kerbel Space Program comes as a contribution and celebration of the continued support from its fan base, which has kept the space simulation game running into its 9th anniversary this year!
