Coinciding with the much-anticipated Halloween Early Access update on Steam for The Outlast Trials, the documentary titled Outlast: The Challenges of Trials invites viewers to explore the intricate process of developing this multiplayer horror game that has captivated horror enthusiasts.
The Outlast series has received acclaim for its intense survival horror experiences, and The Outlast Trials elevates this reputation. Set within the eerie universe of its predecessors, this installment offers players the choice to confront the terror either solo or alongside friends in groups of up to four players. The game’s narrative unfolds during the Cold War era, immersing players in the roles of test subjects abducted by the mysterious Murkoff Corporation. Trapped within a concealed Murkoff facility, players must endure a grueling series of physical and mental challenges, contending with iconic characters.
