He said he’d be back… Terminator joins Mortal Kombat 1!
Warner Bros. Games has released a new Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns trailer, providing a first look at the gameplay of the upcoming DLC guest fighter, T-1000 Terminator. The character, based on the liquid metal assassin from Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991), features the voice and likeness of actor Robert Patrick and utilizes a moveset that allows it to transform and create bladed weapons. The T-1000 will be available on March 18 for early access as part of the Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns expansion, with general availability for purchase beginning March 25. The trailer also introduces Madam Bo, a new DLC Kameo Fighter who provides support moves during matches. Madam Bo will be available at no additional cost for Khaos Reigns expansion owners or as a standalone purchase starting March 18.
The trailer premiered during Pro Kompetition Mexico, the opening event for Mortal Kombat 1 Pro Kompetition: Season 2, held in Mexico City. The new season of the global Mortal Kombat 1 esports circuit features a total prize pool of $255,000 USD and includes live events in North America, Latin America, South America, and Europe, as well as multiple online tournaments. Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns is an expansion for Mortal Kombat 1, the latest installment in the franchise developed by NetherRealm Studios. The expansion, available digitally on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), includes a story update and new playable fighters such as Cyrax, Sektor, Noob Saibot, Ghostface, Conan the Barbarian, and T-1000 Terminator (March 18), along with the Madam Bo Kameo Fighter (March 18).
