In Ahro, coming to the Switch, players go on a spiritual journey
Ahro is a game that’s centered around the developer’s own experiences with panic and/or anxiety disorder. It’s coming to Steam, and its release has now been announced for the Nintendo Switch in presumably the first half of 2024. Ahro’s main character needs to find a release from their own anxiety, and after noticing the limits of herbal medicine, is going on a more spiritual journey to figure out what’s up in body, mind, and the world. While the game might look a bit simplistic, the publisher said that “Ahro had both a relaxing and strangely thrilling effect on me. It sets a unique mood and tempo, perfect for its explorative gameplay and enigmatic storytelling”. Don’t let others decide for you though, at least watch the trailer!
