KOEI TECMO announces their first titles for the Nintendo Switch 2!
During today’s Nintendo Direct about Nintendo’s new Nintendo Switch 2 System, KOEI TECMO announced two new titles that will be available for the new system. KOEI TECMO has revealed NOBUNAGA’S AMBITION: Awakening Complete Edition and WILD HEARTS S. Both titles transport the player to ancient Japan or a region inspired by it.
NOBUNAGA’S AMBITION: Awakening has players study the finer points of military might and political cunning as they attempt to achieve Oda Nobunaga’s dream. This dream, which remained unachieved, forces the player to perform a balancing act between war and diplomacy to unify all of Japan’s forces. The Complete Edition features DLC from the original title while also containing six new scenarios which bring climactic Decisive Battles to your campaign.
WILD HEARTS S instead takes the player directly to the action. Wander through a world that draws inspiration from feudal Japan while mastering ancient technology. Infuse yourself with the ferocious might of nature and hunt down giant beasts. Then, after taking down a beast, prepare your gear again and set out to hunt once more. The game boasts a very wide array of items to craft, allowing you to influence the hunt in multiple, diverse ways.
Prepare for the life of a daimyo in NOBUNAGA’S AMBITION: Awakening Complete Edition which will be available for the Switch 2 upon its release on June 5, 2025. The game will also be available for the PlayStation5. WILD HEARTS S, however will only release on July 25, 2025 and will be a Switch 2 exclusive.
