Kvark is the latest underground Czech Republic-inspired FPS
After games like Chernobylite and HROT, there is now also Kvark, a game that takes place in the Czech Republic with similar visual environments, hinting that the brown and gray color palettes and Czech/Russian-themed games are increasing in popularity lately. You get to explore underground dangers in Kvark, with people in Hazmat suits and zombies roaming a facility full of toxic waste, mechanical engineering, and more. The game follows one of the workers of a dangerous underground corporation who gets put into a cell while his co-workers are screaming around him, unsure of what is happening but certain to escape. The game then aims for a tense atmosphere with a variety of enemies, guns, puzzles, and events. The game will release for PC on June 2, 2023, and later it will also come to PS4/5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
