Launch of Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book announced
Koei Tecmo has announced today that its newest game in the Atelier series, Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book, is to be available for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita on the 10th of June 2016.
The 17th instalment of the Atelier series follows a young novice Alchemist called Sophie in a town that is reminiscent of medieval Europe. She discovers that she is the owner of the Mysterious Book, a volume imbued with a soul, which seems to hold all of the secrets of Alchemy. As the book aids her to improve her skills, she begins to unravel forgotten memories which lead her on a path to uncovering the origins of the book.
In commemoration of the announcement of Atelier Sophie, Koei Tecmo has released a first batch of assets illustrating the key characters and background art of the game. Not only that, but they have also said that there will be a limited edition box which will be available exclusively on the NIS America Europe Online Store. It will include:
- PS4 version of Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book
- 2-disc OST featuring 38 tracks of original music from the game
- 48-page hardcover art book, including illustrations and sketches of the characters, creatures, and background art of the game
- Set of 5 5″ x 7″ mini art prints
- 40″ x 26.8″ cloth poster
