Neumann unveils its first audio interface soon: the MT 48 audio interface
“The MT 48 is an audio interface and digital mixing desk in one” is proclaimed on Neumann’s official website. After being a staple in microphone and audio technology for almost 100 years, the company will now released its first audio interface. The specs as described on the site are as followed:
- Class-leading AD-converter resolution with a dynamic range of 136 dB
- 2 premium-quality mic/line preamps, 2 pristine line/instrument inputs
- 4 line/monitor outputs
- 2 ultra-low impedance headphone outputs with adjustable crossfeed
- ADAT / S/PDIF optical I/O, AES67, MIDI/GPIO
- Two driver outputs per input channel for pre-FX and/or post-FX recording
- Intuitive touchscreen user interface
The MT 48 is going to be available in a few weeks time and will cost a little under 2000 euros, so it’s quite the investment. But for professionals who want to take their audio to the next level, it might be a game-changer.
