New game Reynatis looks like it could be a redemption for many anime games
There’s a new game coming from publisher NIS America and while we only just got the announcement trailer, it looks quite promising! Where we have had our hands on a bunch of anime-inspired games, a lot of them are mostly mediocre at best. The combat, the story, and the gameplay are often confusing or unsatisfying, but perhaps Reynatis is going to be able to redeem these traits. In the trailer, we see a mix of high-quality anime looks and something that reminds us of the Final Fantasy games, which are still very popular. In the game, you play as a wizard named Marin, who is going to have to conceal his magic to explore a city as wizards are being kept on a leash by an organization. It’s a story of resistance that will find its way to the Switch, PS4/5, and PC around the fall of 2024.
