New Pokémon games announced in Pokémon Direct

Today during Pokémon Direct, Tsunekazu Ishihara, the director and CEO of The Pokémon Company, has announced Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon. Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon are being developed by Game Freak Inc.. Both games will be released in late 2016 for all Nintendo 3DS systems.

Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon both use Pokémon Bank. This online saving system enables fans to transfer Pokémon from Pokémon Red, Pokémon Blue and Pokémon Yellow to Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon. These games will be released on the 27th of February for the Virtual Console on the Nintendo 3DS. Pokémon from Pokémon Omega Ruby, Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, Pokémon X and Pokémon Y can also be transferred to Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon by means of the Pokémon Bank.
