New trailer brings Trine 4: The Nightmare Price’s adventurers up to speed

Indie Publisher Modus Games shared an in-depth look at next week’s Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince, detailing expanded hero abilities and otherworldly baddies. Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One on October 8.

Trine’s cunning thief Zoya, brave knight Pontius, and wise wizard Amadeus will each master tricks as they reunite for Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince’s engrossing tale. Zoya will add elemental arrows to her quiver and levitating capabilities to her versatile rope. Pontius’ trusty sword, on the other hand, will pack a shocking charge while his shield enables dream-like replicas of itself. Lastly, Amadeus will learn new conjurations plus a teleport-esque blink ability. These powerful discoveries and more are on full display in the trailer.

Players are free to tailor their journey through Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince to their liking through each hero’s distinctive skill trees. The game’s puzzles change depending on how many players are in the party, too. Go it alone for total control and on-the-fly hero swapping, enjoy the series’ classic three-player design, or take on chaotic fun in the series’ first four-player multiplayer mode, where any combination of duplicate heroes is fair game.

Digital pre-purchases are now available for Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince and Trine: Ultimat Collection. For more information, be sure to check out all pre-order offers, here, or visit their official website, here. You can also join their Discord server.
