Nice Day for Fishing launches today!
Team17 Digital and FusionPlay launch Viva La Dirt League’s humor-filled RPG fishing adventure, Nice Day for Fishing, today on PC, PS5, and Nintendo Switch. It’s set in a universe that fans of Viva La Dirt League will recognize as it’s based on the Epic NPC Man series on YouTube. If you’re a fan, you’ll recognize familiar faces and classic tropes from the series in this game.
In Nice Day for Fishing, you’ll explore the town of Honeywood, where you’ll take on quests, meet characters from the Epic Man NPC series, and find fish to catch. Help Honeywood’s citizens and upgrade its shops to rebuild the town, unlocking merchants to upgrade your gear. However, this is only the tip of the iceberg, as the biggest part of the adventure takes place beneath the surface of lakes, oceans, and underwater caves.
Venture underwater and battle enemies to level up your character and your gear. You’ll unlock access to deeper regions based on the level of your gear, which will allow you to navigate different biomes such as a boiling underwater volcano or a shimmering crystal cave. Upgrading your gear will also grant you the ability to freely navigate underwater to uncover the ocean’s secrets. Remember that your fishing rod is your weapon, your hat is your armor, and your jewelry gives you the extra boost you might need to survive. And last but not least, offering completed collections of fish to the God’s statue in Honeywood will grant you magic spells that can come in handy in underwater boss fights.
