Planet Zoo: Console Edition gets a new trailer
Today, Frontier Developments shared another early look at gameplay from the highly anticipated Planet Zoo: Console Edition. In this latest trailer, players can explore the extensive management features and user-friendly console controls of the upcoming game. Across four distinct game modes (Career, Franchise, Challenge, and Sandbox), players can practice their zookeeping skills by ensuring animal welfare, guest satisfaction, and efficient staff management to achieve success. Players with a creative inclination can design their ideal zoo using a diverse selection of scenery inspired by zoos worldwide, from the misty mountains of East Asia to the vibrant African plains. Robust tools allow for the customization of terrain, enabling the creation of breathtaking landscapes through the addition of lakes, rivers, hills, mountains, paths, and caves.
The game’s focal point remains the animals, with over 70 meticulously crafted species available at launch, each featuring unique animations and social behaviors. The in-game Zoopedia provides valuable information on every animal, assisting players in meeting their needs for optimal well-being and enjoyment. Planet Zoo: Console Edition is set to release on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 on March 26th, with a suggested retail price of £39.99/$49.99/€49.99. A Deluxe Edition is also available for pre-order, priced at £49.99/$59.99/€59.99. This edition includes 16 extra animals and two additional scenarios, transporting players to the heart of tropical rainforests in Southeast Asia and vibrant wetlands. Finally, the Ultimate Edition encompasses all Deluxe Content, along with a Season Pass granting access to 14 future DLCs featuring 81 new species, 15 campaign scenarios, and over 2000 additional scenery pieces, available for a suggested retail price of £99.99/$119.99/€119.99. Players who pre-order any of these editions will receive three exclusive animals: the Pygmy Hippopotamus, Komodo Dragon, and Thomson’s Gazelle.
