Return to the Earthlock universe with Ikonei Island
Independent developer Snowcastle Games today announced that Ikonei Island: An Earthlock Adventure is in development for PC and console. This spinoff of Earthlock takes inspiration from titles like Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley. The game takes the rich world-building and magical setting of the Earthlock franchise into a new territory. Players are dropped on a deserted island and are invited to explore the diverse and intriguing landscape. Resources will need to be collected for crafting and wildlife must be befriended, in order to employ their unique abilities to progress to new areas of the island.
With ancient ruins from a bygone civilization, treasure-hungry pirates, and a host of different biomes to unlock, ranging from icy mountains and parched deserts to dense jungles and humid swamps, the island encourages players to explore to their heart’s content. Players will also have the opportunity to make the island their own. An upgradable hamlet serves as a base of operations and unique placeable items allow you to customize the island to your liking. No set release date has been announced yet, but Snowcastle looks forward to detailing the game’s early access roadmap soon. In the meantime, you can wishlist the game on Steam right now.
