Romancing SaGa – Minstrel Song – Remastered confirmed for Europe!
Square Enix today announced that the fourth installment in the beloved SaGa series is coming to Europe for the first time. Romancing SaGa was originally released in Japan in 1992, followed by a remake in North America and Japan in 2005, and will be released next winter as Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song- Remastered for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC through Steam, iOS and Android. Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song- Remastered delivers many improvements and extras, including remastered graphics, new QoL additions for improved playability, and new gameplay features. Players follow the wanderings of one of eight protagonists, each with their own goal and storyline, and form their own unique adventure with a “Free-form Scenario” system that ensures their actions affect the world around them.
Fans of the SaGa series can look forward to the “Glimmer” and “Combo” systems from previous games, the equally iconic and beautiful design, and an atmospheric soundtrack by composer Kenji Ito, whose charming theme song “Menuett” can already be heard in today’s trailer. Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song- Remastered is the latest announcement in Square Enix’s ongoing SaGa Project that has so far led to Western releases of Romancing SaGa 3, SaGa SCARLET GRACE: AMBITIONS, the popular mobile game Romancing SaGa Re;univerSe and SaGa Frontier Remastered.
