Runescape is coming out with TABLETOP games now
Jagex and Steamforged Games are coming out with two real-life tabletop games soon with as their theme.. Runescape! You might know these boardgame crafters from other boardgame subjects such as Dark Souls, Resident Evil, and Monster Hunter: World. Needless to say, they are not newbies to turning a video game franchise into cut-out characters on a flat board.
The Runescape boardgames will be for one up to five players, playing quest-based campaigns through Gielinor. Just like in Runescape you can craft and upgrade equipment, upskill characters, cook special recipes and engage with NPCs. Go on quests! Fight! Further games will still be announced, but we know one game is specifically an RPG, and the other is just classified as “a board game”. They will both come out somewhere in 2022.
