Soundfall – A new rhythmic dungeon-crawler game to be released in 2019!

Soundfall, a beautiful name for a gorgeous looking game. This game is a music-driven action adventure, combining twin-stick shooting action with rhythm-based gameplay, where you have to synchronize your combat moves to the beat of the music. Fans of the retro-style rhythm dungeon-crawler ‘Crypt of the Necrodancer’ will rejoice to see another game with similar gameplay mechanics! Soundfall is being developed by Drastic Games, a video game startup founded by alumni from Epic Games. The game is planned to be released in 2019 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Players take the role of Melody, who finds herself transported to the world of Symphonia, a mysterious land where music comes to life. In this strange new world she’ll need to fight to the save the realm from Discord, an unfathomable darkness that threatens everything. Sync your moves to the music, and you’ll be rewarded with impressive dance-like combos when you dash and slash in time to the beat.

Music drives every aspect of this rhythmic dungeon crawler: Soundfall’s levels, enemies, loot, and more are procedurally-generated by and dynamically react to a range of musical elements, changing not only from song to song but measure to measure as tunes build and die away. There’s much impressive gear and upgrades to uncover, like one-of-a-kind weapons and legendary artifacts with audio-driven powers. You can even play with friends in online team-play and couch co-op for up to four players. Soundfall features a diverse roster of playable characters, each with their own distinct playstyle and musical palettes!
