Space Scum open playtest goes live on Steam on September 2nd!
After a number of closed playtests, the tactical turn-based action RPG, Space Scum, is launching an Open Playtest on September 2nd, 2025, on Steam. Players are invited to experience the first steps into the wilds of one of many planets that will be available when the full game releases. Build your Mercenary Company by recruiting the deadliest scum in the galaxy!
Space Scum is set across multiple procedurally generated planets, meaning every playthrough is unique. You can also choose your own custom origin and encounter different environments, enemy types, factions, and missions, all based on what you do and where you go. But remember, all of your choices will have consequences.
In this game, you’ll have to balance out your team, making sure it’s equipped for both melee and ranged combat. Earn experience and rewards to level up your members to gain new skills and buy better equipment. Make sure to equip them well for each battle you fight, depending on the enemy you’re facing. And keep in mind that you’ll lose your fallen soldiers forever.
