The time has come, the last remaining city stands at a precipice. Manta’s rise to power has endangered the city of Neotopia and all of humanity. Powered by greed and corruption, it is up to you to end his reign for once and for all! The creators of Tiny Realms bring us with M.E.R.C.: a real-time tactical squad based game in a near-future dystopia. This dystopia made from steel and concrete is a dangerous crowded place called The Sprawl. You will need some serious firepower for when you want to adapt to Manta’s strategies. Hire various mercenaries with a range of classes such as Sniper, Assault, Engineer and Heavy to bring Manta to his knees. If a main class isn’t good enough for you, then feel free to customize your units’ abilities with specialized sub-classes such as Hacker or Medic. It is possible that M.E.R.C looks (and will kind of feel) like X-COM, this is because the Game Director Jamie Toghill actually worked on the original X-COM series. So if you already played the X-COM series this will feel a bit like coming home, but wearing a new jacket.
M.E.R.C. will be coming to Steam in Early Access on January 17th.
