Star in your own nature documentary in AWAY

Starting today, the digital version of Breaking Walls’ nature documentary-inspired narrative adventure AWAY: The Survival Series is available on PC, PS4 and PS5. A physical edition launches next month, arriving in Europe on the 1st of October and in the USA on the 5th of October, courtesy of Perp Games. In AWAY, players star in their own personal nature documentary as they glide through the forest, sneak past predators and hunt down prey, all while a narrator describes their every move. Taking on the role of a sugar glider, players go on a survival adventure set in the distant future as they attempt to save their family.

The single-player adventure will offer 5-10 hours of gameplay, with a main story and various side-quests that let players uncover the mysteries of AWAY’s abandoned world. The enchanting orchestral soundtrack was written by award-winning composer Mike Raznick, who worked on various nature documentaries for the BBC, including Life and Planet Earth II. The limited physical release for PS4 and PS5 will include the game alongside a digital soundtrack, a digital artbook, a short AR experience and a physical postcard. Additionally, for each physical copy sold, 2 trees will be planted by Perp Games in partnership with Eden Reforestation Projects.
