Star Wars: Battlefront- E3
In what was a little bit of a surprise EA decided to tease the audience at their E3 event with a short teaser for the upcoming Star Wars: Battlefront.
Though the tease was a couple of seconds long and essentially showed nothing other than the fact that, guess what there will be a Hoth level. There are some things that we know about the upcoming Battlefront.
The game is called Star Wars: Battlefront and is being headed up by DICE a very well renowned developer based in Sweden. They were quick to point out that the game is simply titled Battlefront, it won’t be a sequel to the franchise that Pandemic built.
“This is DICE’s interpretation of what Battlefront should be,” Söderlund EA Games Label boss said. “That’s the best description you can have. There are absolutely things in the previous Battlefront games that you’ll recognise and remember, but DICE wants to put its own flavour on it. That’s the only way we can do it. Hence it’s called Star Wars: Battlefront, without a 3 at the end. We want to say it’s something new.
“But again, it’s going to be very Star Wars and very cool.”
Battlefront is set to make its way onto next-gen platforms, though when is anyone’s guess and this is just the first in what is assumed to be handful of Star Wars titles coming out of EA.
