Steel Seed gets a revised release date

Publisher ESDigital Games and Italian studio Storm in a Teacup have announced that Steel Seed will now launch on April 22 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The game was originally set for release on April 10. The date adjustment allows the development team additional time to refine platform adaptation on consoles and optimize overall gameplay performance. Steel Seed is a stealth-action adventure game set in a dark sci-fi world where humanity faces extinction. Developed by the team behind Close to the Sun, the game follows protagonist Zoe and her drone companion, KOBY, as they explore a hostile underground facility in search of answers and a path to survival.

Key Features

  • A Post-Cataclysmic World – Navigate a handcrafted environment featuring industrial landscapes and eerie biodomes, with a narrative that explores the essence of humanity.
  • A Unique Companion – KOBY, a prototype drone, serves as Zoe’s ally, assisting in navigation, puzzle-solving, and providing crucial support throughout the journey.
  • Stealth, Parkour & Combat – Utilize shadows, distractions, and the environment for stealth-based gameplay. Engage in dynamic combat with various enemy types and formidable bosses. Customize Zoe’s abilities with three skill trees and 40 available upgrades.
  • A Thought-Provoking Story – Featuring a narrative written by BAFTA-winning writer Martin Korda, Steel Seed delves into themes of survival, trust, and the relationship between humans and machines.
