SUDA51’s The Silver Case coming to PlayStation 4 Spring 2017

SUDA51’s debut game The Silver Case will be getting a high definition remaster for PlayStation 4. This was announced last saturday at the annual press event of NIS America. The Silver Case will be released in both a physical and digital version in North America on April 18 and Europe on April. A limited Edition will be made available for pre-order at the online store of NIS America.

The Silver Case was SUDA51’s debut game with which it all started for the developer. They are the creator of titles such as Flower, Sun and Rain, Killer 7, the No More Heroes series, Lollipop Chainsaw, and most recently LET IT DIE.

The game takes place in 1999 in the ’24 Wards’. A string of mysterious serial killings plagues the city. The detectives of the 24 Wards Heinous Crimes Unit have one possible culprit: Kamui Uehara, legendary serial killer and assassin of a number of government officials 20 years prior in the nowfamous ‘Silver Case’. However, nobody knows who or what Kamui really is.Nobody knows if he has returned and who the mysterious serial killer is. As the player, you will take control of the protagonist, a member of the Special Forces Unit known as ‘Republic’, from a first-person perspective. Inspired by classic adventure and visual novel-style games, The Silver Case offers a fresh and unique gameplay experience as it leads the player through an in-depth story containing various puzzles and uncovering the truth piece by piece.

Being over 30 years old, I've been playing videogames since I've exchanged my pacifier for a game controller. I've only recently started reviewing games and it's incredibly fun to do and educational as I get to know a lot of new stuff about videogames and the industry. My favourite game genres are RPG's(strategy RPG, J-RPG,...), adventure, platforming, simulation and retro.
