Survival horror game The Florist sprouts on PC next year

Unclear Games has revealed its upcoming survival horror game, The Florist. In the game, players step into the shoes of Jessica Park, who arrives in the lakeside town of Joycliffe for a routine delivery that quickly spirals into a deadly struggle for survival. The town is overtaken by aggressive, omnipresent floral overgrowth, forcing players to solve puzzles, confront evolving enemies, and unravel a mysterious plan to create life through unnatural means. As they explore Joycliffe and its surroundings, players must rely on observation, intuition, and in-game journal entries that track story progress and floral specimens to navigate the shifting landscape. A variety of weapons are scattered throughout the game to help confront both standard foes and formidable bosses, with threats evolving as the environment changes from day to night.

The Florist emphasizes a distinct aesthetic, blending color and beauty with tension and horror. Joycliffe is portrayed not as an abandoned town but as a vibrant, living setting where danger emerges in visually striking ways, using light, color, and hand-crafted environments as central gameplay and artistic elements. The game employs a fixed-camera design to ensure each level is carefully structured for both visual appeal and playability. Additional features include multiple difficulty and accessibility settings, unlimited inventory, autosave checkpoints, and hidden content to encourage exploration. The announcement is accompanied by an official reveal trailer and the launch of the game’s Steam page, ahead of a 2026 release.
