Team17 releases a new Gord video with developer commentary!
Today, Team17 and Covenant.dev released a brand new video showcasing gameplay from their upcoming single-player dark fantasy strategy game Gord. The video, which is a whopping 16 minutes long, features narration by Gord’s game director Stan Just and introduces the grum and unforgiving world that the game is set in. It also covers the proto-Slavic roots that serve as the inspiration for the horrific creature designs and lore, as well as the philosophy behind Gord’s unique take on the strategy genre. Details are given about the unique gameplay blend of city building, community management and player-driven adventure mechanics while examining the wealth of choice players will have during each playthrough of the game’s campaign, and the fully configurable ‘Custom Scenarios’ mode.
