The Arbites have come to Warhammer 40.000: Darktide
Fatshark has released its first paid class DLC for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide: the Arbites. These are enforcers of the Lex Imperialis, representing the strict enforcement arm of Imperial law. As an Arbitrator, players gain access to a range of new abilities and customizations. The Arbitrator is accompanied by a customizable Cyber-Mastiff, which can be directed to engage specific enemies or act autonomously with its own targeting behavior.
Released alongside the Arbites Class, the free The Battle for Tertium update introduces structural improvements and new content for all players:
- Narrative Progression Overhaul: Introduces a linear campaign structure with story-driven mission debriefs and embedded cinematics. It also provides a more consistent and guided experience, particularly for new players. Missions retain core gameplay but now feature controlled enemy spawns and new voiceover lines.
- Mission Board Rework: Players can now select missions and set difficulty levels independently. Difficulty progression is now based on mission completion, not character level. Progress is tracked by performance at the highest available difficulty. Completing missions increases progress. Failing missions reduces progress slightly, but does not demote difficulty access.
- Mortis Trials Updates: New difficulty: Auric introduces tougher enemy variety and shorter time between waves. Base Mortis Trials difficulty has been updated to match Auric level.
- Narrative expansion featuring the backstory of Shipmistress Brahms through new memory echoes
- Inferno Live Event (June 23–July 7)
- New Havoc Campaign
- Updated mutator rotation for varied gameplay conditions
- Quality of Life Improvements: Increased maximum operative slots to 8 and expanded weapon loadout slots to 8
- Added ~900 new voice lines, including interactions with the new Arbites class
The Arbites Class is now available for purchase as of June 23 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
