The DioField Chronicle – Strategy RPG coming out soon!
Square Enix has announced an upcoming strategy RPG named The DioField Chronicle. This game will be released later this year, on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Steam). This game is the start of a new franchise, developed by Square Enix in collaboration with Lancarse Ltd.
The DioField Chronicle is set in a beautiful, unique world with a blend of fantasy, medieval and modern influences. Under the firm grip of the Shaytham dynasty, the kingdom of Alletain, located on DioField Island, has been at peace for 200 years – until the empire is suddenly thrown into an era of uncertainty by the rise of warlike forces and modern magic.
Players experience the story as they battle in stunning ‘diorama’ style battle scenes. During these battles, players must command the frontline in real time, issue essential commands and use a variety of skills, classes and equipment to defeat their enemies.
The soil of the Kingdom of Alletain is rich in the mineral Jade, which is used as a basic ingredient for magic and sorcery, making their island coveted by both the Empire and the Alliance. Players will take command of a group of elite mercenaries who call themselves “Blue Fox”. But will the name “Blue Fox” mean hope or misery to the people of the island?
