The Evil Within – Release date pushed back

Shinji Mikami, known for developing the survival horror series Resident Evil, has asked for a few extra months to further balance The Evil Within. Bethesda announced that The Evil Within will be available at October 24 2014 instead of August 2014.

For those who have not heard of The Evil Within yet, here’s a small summary. The Evil Within is a survival horror game where you take the role of Detective Sebastian Castellanos. Fellow officers get killed while investigating a mass murder scene and Sebastian is knocked out, only to wake up a while later in a crazed world filled with revolting creatures amongst the blood and gore.

Pre-orders are now available and those who pre-order the game will receive The Fighting Chance Pack. The Pack has several useful items such as a first aid kit, a double-barrel hunting rifle and a few other items to possibly extend your life just a little bit longer. The Evil Within will be available for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 and PC. As the video shows below, The Evil Within is not for those who are faint hearted and will leave you with several knots in your stomach as you play.
