The Outlast Trials reveals its release date
The Outlast Trials, the brand-new multiplayer survival horror game by Red Barrels, finally reveals its full release date. The game launched into Early Access earlier this year, amassing an army of fans with 1.5 million copies sold. The game is set in the same terrifying universe as the Outlast series, turning the series into a multiplayer game for the first time. Each player takes on the role of a test subject, abducted by the shadowy Murkoff Corporation during the Cold War. In this facility, players will face a series of physical and mental ordeals, facing iconic characters while keeping their sanity intact.
The V1 release will feature a ton of updates. Among these is a new trial set in a Toy Factory that will put players against the fearsome Mother Gooseberry. Along come new challenges, Evidence Documents, and cosmetics to customize your character and cell. The level cap will be increased and there are a ton of quality-of-life improvements. The game will be released on March 5 for PC, PlayStation and Xbox. Both a standard and deluxe edition will be available, with the latter including a bunch of exclusive items, like skins and player icons.
