Only recently we discussed the eSwap X LED Orange Crystal Pack for Thrustmaster’s eSwap X Pro Controller. The kit proved to be flashy and spiced up one of our favorite controllers, but it didn’t bring anything else to the table that would actually improve your gaming sessions. This kit was mainly a cosmetic upgrade, which is of course great if you’re looking for that. Now, we have something that still adds a certain flair to your gaming setup, but mainly focuses on enhancing your gaming experience if you’re into fighting games. This time we’re taking a look at the eSwap X Fighting Pack.

The modules for this kit will be different than the other kits. When buying the Fighting Pack, you’ll get two black triggers, a circular D-Pad, a module with two additional buttons, and two extremely snazzy side panels. Overall, it’s a good-looking package, but the white circular D-Pad stands out from the otherwise simple black design of the other components. The side panels also have a few hints of white on the sides, as they are designed to look like the lacing around the tsuka of a katana. We have to be honest when we say we truly loved the design of the side panels, and these alone might already make a fancy visual upgrade for your controller. We do have to mention that the solid black triggers in this package look a bit basic and bland.

In terms of enhancing your experience when playing fight games, we have to say that this kit truly makes a difference, and you can easily transform your eSwap X Pro Controller into a proper fight pad. The new module with the two extra buttons allows you to have six buttons on the front of your controller, which is common for dedicated fight pads. These buttons are often used for the high kick/punch options that are usually bound to your controller’s triggers. The circular D-Pad makes it so that you can perform special moves easier, as you can easily move in eight directions, rather than the traditional four directions a standard D-Pad offers. The side panels are soft to the touch and provide proper grip.

Conclusion

Thrustmaster’s eSwap X Fighting Pack is a great custom kit if you’re into traditional fighting games, such as Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat (and of course other 2D fighting games). Outside of that, the package is also worth it if you’re looking to spice up your controller with great-looking side panels and a better D-Pad. The module for the extra buttons doesn’t serve that many purposes outside of the aforementioned fighting games. That being said, this kit is certainly worth looking into if you’re looking to crack open some skulls in your next Mortal Kombat session.
