Tidal Shock is about to go off the hook and into full launch mode
Back in 2020, we took an in-depth look at the Early Access version of Tidal Shock. At that time, we noted that while the game had an interesting concept and appealing visuals, the gameplay felt somewhat limited. Developer Moonray Studios took this feedback into account, alongside other helpful suggestions from around the community. The developers are excited to announce that Tidal Shock: Off the Hook will officially exit Early Access on April 10 as a free-to-play title.
Here’s a look at what has been added to Tidal Shock since our initial preview:
- Free-to-Play – No paywalls, just competitive gameplay.
- New Game Modes – In addition to Reactor Rush, new modes like Deathmatch O₂, Control, and Point2Point have been added for more tactical options.
- MMR Ranked Mode – A competitive matchmaking system to ensure balanced gameplay.
- Predator Skin Ranking System – Unlock unique skins as you progress.
- Full Graphic Overhaul – A refreshed and enhanced underwater environment.
- 60+ Achievements – New challenges to complete.
- Customizable Neon Warfare – New skins, shields, and torpedoes to personalize your experience.
The development team is hosting pre-launch community events starting on March 3, leading up to the official 1.0 release on April 10. You can take a look at what’s in store for Tidal Shock ahead of the full launch here.
