Try alien planet exploration in the upcoming game The Riftbreaker
People following Gamescon might have already seen it, but Exor Studios is hard at work on their next game. The Riftbreaker is said to be a mix of different genres, combining elements of survival, resource management, and base building. You play the game as Captain Ashley S. Nowak, who is tasked with traveling through a one-way portal to Galatea 37, a distant planet considered for human inhabitation. It’s up to Captain Nowak to explore the planet, set up a base, and generally prepare everything needed for human colonization while fighting off the dangerous alien creatures living on the planet. At Gamescon, a demo of the game was available, but anybody who missed it might want to head over to Steam to try the free prologue. The release date for The Riftbreaker is yet to be announced, but the game is currently in development for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. A release for next-gen consoles is in the works too.
A new trailer also dropped today, showing off the base-building aspect of the game. You can see this trailer down below.
