Urban myths and alien conspiracies in Abduction Bit

Urban myths and alien conspiracies in Abduction Bit

If you thought that alien invasion and extraterrestial experiments on human beings were just urban myths and government conspiracies, than the developers at SEEP can prove you wrong with their release of Abduction Bit. Abduction Bit is a NES-like retro arcade game based on classics from the 80’s like Bubble Bobble, Ice Climber and Mario Bros, where players take control of two aliens, who must catch many humans for different kinds of experiments. These aliens use a special sci-fi gun to paralyze their human targets, strip them of their memories and clothes. This way, it makes for an easier job to transport them in their spaceship.

Players are offered a 2D retro adventure platformer and can explore four different kinds of stages(construction, hotel, military base and laboratory). In order to complete the different stages, players have to catch all the humans without touching them and avoiding dangerous traps. As jumping from platform to platform and shooting seem to be easy, it still comes with a high difficulty challenge-level.

FEATURES:

  • 100% Retro look and retro sound
  • Local CO-OP (2 players)
  • The player can select various level packs through the main menu and more to come as free DLC.
  • Customize the palette of your alien
  • Save state
  • Achievements
  • Offered at a very low price
  • Steam Trading Cards

Being over 30 years old, I've been playing videogames since I've exchanged my pacifier for a game controller. I've only recently started reviewing games and it's incredibly fun to do and educational as I get to know a lot of new stuff about videogames and the industry. My favourite game genres are RPG's(strategy RPG, J-RPG,...), adventure, platforming, simulation and retro.
