With battle royale OPEN, we are no longer constrained to a single gaming universe
Perhaps you remember Ready Player One, an adaptation of the book where people are escaping a dystopian world by connecting themselves to the wonders of Virtual Reality. In this world, there were also multiple competitive games to be played, and this is where OPEN comes in. OPEN will be a new Battle Royale that’s created in close collaboration with the author of Ready Player One, where players can get a multi-mode battle royale experience. The coolest about this concept is that, like in the movie and the book, the game will feature characters from a lot of other IPs, which means different environments and skins. It’s a bit what games such as Fortnite or Dead by Daylight are already doing, but more extensive. While the teaser trailer barely tells us anything yet, the concept surely sounds promising. We are ready!
