SIDE BULLET brings battle royale to the side-scroller genre
Yes, you have your Apex Legends and your Warzone, and also your Fortnite and your PUBG. These all seem logical approaches to the battle royale format where you put a whole bunch of players together to wipe each other out until one person or team is left victorious. What about bringing this concept to a side-scroller though? That is what SIDE BULLET is all about. Coming to the PS5 later this summer, players can use a grappling hook, perks, and weapons to fight other players and strange monsters. The game will be free-to-play, though of course has some microtransactions to compensate. The creators promise, however, that it’s not a pay-to-win model. It will be mostly cosmetics and a battle pass. While the trailer withholds the side-scrolling gameplay and looks a bit too cinematic for our taste, it at least gives a decent look at what characters and perks you can expect.
