Wreckfest 2 crashes into Early Access next month

THQ Nordic has announced that Wreckfest 2 will be available in Early Access on PC starting March 20, 2025. Developed by Bugbear, the game features an upgraded physics engine compared to the first Wreckfest game, designed to enhance crash realism, improve component damage, and create more dynamic vehicle interactions. Players can compete on high-speed circuits or navigate a junkyard filled with obstacles. Tracks include challenging jumps, intersections with oncoming traffic, and a dedicated derby mode focused on destruction. With no set rules, races emphasize both competition and strategic collisions. Up to 23 other players or AI opponents can participate in multiplayer races.
Wreckfest 2 features a lineup of older, heavily used vehicles rather than high-end supercars. As Early Access progresses, players will have the opportunity to customize and upgrade their cars, with additional vehicles and content introduced over time. The development team aims to refine the game based on player feedback, with the goal of delivering the ultimate demolition derby experience. Wreckfest 2 launches in Early Access on Steam on March 20, 2025.
