Today, THQ Nordic and Three Fields Entertainment have released their highly anticipated open-world arcade racing game Wreckreation. The game combines high-speed racing with creative freedom, allowing players to explore a world spanning over 400 square kilometers (150 square miles) filled with roads, off-road trails, and open spaces. Central to the experience is the Live Mix system, which lets players instantly edit the environment by adding ramps, loops, jumps, half-pipes, and moving obstacles anywhere on the map. Players can also modify weather conditions, time of day, and traffic density to tailor their racing and stunt challenges. Behind the wheel of more than 50 customizable vehicles, players can set their own pace, explore the world freely, and compete in various skill-based challenges. The game tracks performance across eight leaderboard categories, including drifting, air time, stunts, near misses, and lap times.
In addition to racing, Wreckreation emphasizes creative expression and personalization. Players can design complex tracks using hundreds of Live Mix objects, adjust vehicles down to individual details such as paint, wheels, boost flames, and engine sounds, and even curate their in-game soundtrack with 16 radio stations spanning multiple music genres. The game supports different play modes, including standard races, drift competitions, and team-based stunt events, where points are earned for jumps, spins, and crashes. All of these features are available from the start, allowing players to mix their own racing experiences without restriction. Wreckreation is available now for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
