Never send a human to do a machine’s job. Warner Bros. Games has released a new MultiVersus trailer showcasing the first gameplay footage of Agent Smith, the character from The Matrix film series, who will join the roster on July 8 as part of Season 1: Puns & Villainy. Agent Smith is a Bruiser-class character with abilities reflecting his role as a Matrix enforcer. The trailer highlights his speed, targeting precision, and control skills. It features Agent Smith’s combat and shooting abilities at close range, teleportation to close distances during fights, and support from another Agent.
Starting July 8, Agent Smith will be available for free as a playable character through the Beat Rifts, Get Agent Smith Free! event. Players can complete boss nodes in the PvE (Player vs. Environment) Rifts mode to earn rewards. MultiVersus, developed by Player First Games, is available for free on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store), with full support for cross-play and cross-progression.
