SpongeBob HeroPants announced
Set after the upcoming The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water’, the new animated/live-action feature film, things aren’t going so well in Bikini Bottom. SpongeBob’s dreams are warping space and time beneath the waves, forcing him to join forces with his friends to unlock their hidden abilities and put back the pieces of his shattered cartoon psyche. Throughout their adventure, they will encounter alternate versions of Bikini Bottom as it is warped by SpongeBob’s mind into prehistoric, war zone and candy-coated versions of the town.
SpongeBob HeroPants is an action game with platforming, exploration and puzzle elements set for release on February 3 on Xbox 360, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation Vita and Playstation TV. The game will include six playable characters, each with their own unique superpowered champion alternate form to solve challenges, unlock new areas and beat SpongeBob’s imagination. Other features include boss bottles, upgradeable skills and many hidden items, with one feature limited to just Xbox 360: four-person local drop-in/drop-out co-op.
