Acer reveals their newest Chromebook

Acer recently revealed their newest Chromebook, the Acer Chromebook 11 N7 (C731). It’s a simple but rugged Chromebook aimed at the educational market. According to Acer the ideal Chromebook for students. The 11 N7 is supposed to survive drops of at least 122CM and has a spill-resistant keyboard.

Its battery should last 12 hours, which means it doesn’t have to be charged during a school- or workday. With its 11,6 inch screen it’s also a light and small Chromebook that should fit any schoolbag. There is also a version with an IPS touchscreen (the C731T). Furthermore the Chromebook has no fans, meaning it’s a silent machine that could be easily used in a classroom or library.

The Chromebook 11 N7 stays easily connected to the internet or any schoolnetwork with it’s dual-band 2×2 MIMI 802.11ac Wi-Fi. The Chromebook also has a Bluetooth 4.0 connection, two USB 3.0 ports and an HDMI-port to make it easily connected to multiple appliances. It also has an SD-cardreader build in to transfer files easily to your SD-cards.

There will be multiple versions of the C731 available. The C731 without touchscreen, or the C731T with IPS-touchscreen will both be available with 13 or 32 GB eMMC and with 2 or 4 GB RAM. You can buy the Chromebooks at a starting price of €249/$229.99 and they will be available on the market in March.
